Please avoid room 403 at the monarch hotel in Bridlington i visited there on the 23rd of June 2024 for 7 days on arrival i went to the room and i could not believe my eyes there was wallpaper hanging off TV had a panel missing from side exposing wires there was no power button on TV also my shower curtain was hanging on with what looked like a piece of wire the toilet bowl looked like it had not been cleaned in yrs it was black the heated towel rail was all taped up plus numerous other issues i reported it to the assistant manager i was told that there was no more rooms so i sent a formal complaint to Alfa travel while i was there i did take some other guests into the room and they couldn’t believe i was in the same hotel Alfa travel finally replied to my email just as my coach arrived back at Tamworth services how confinent was that and they said that the room i was in was fine before i arrived which i found very amusing because i couldn’t defend myself with the manager and all the photos i sent to Alfa some how they only received 2 of them they said i must have sent the others in the wrong format but i sent them all together it’s shame really when you get to 70 and have worked all your life and trust people then get missold something like this and they disbelieve what you say even with proof it looks like they prey on the elderly but i will try with all my power and the help from my family that i am not a dishonest person i just fell into the wrong company shame on you alfa travel
