Stayforlong.com is an online booking platform dedicated to those looking for extended hotel stays. Founded in Barcelona, the company has emerged as a disruptor in the hospitality industry by addressing the needs of long-term travellers such as remote workers, digital nomads and families on extended holidays. The platform works with a wide range of hotels around the world, offering competitive rates for long-term stays that can range from a week to several months. Stayforlong’s website is designed to allow users to easily search and book accommodation, while an efficient customer service team ensures a smooth booking experience and quick resolution of any issues. What sets the platform apart is its commitment to securing discounts proportional to the length of stay, meaning that longer stays result in greater savings for customers. This pricing structure is a departure from the typical hospitality pricing model, where the cost per night is often static. Cancellation policies are also tailored to the needs of long-term travellers.

I recently booked a 6-night stay at the Radisson Blu in Mogan, Gran Canaria through their website. At the time of booking, I am confident the total cost including breakfast was between £700–£800 — well within our budget. However, upon arrival, we were shocked to discover that our card had already been charged **£1,368** — nearly double what we expected and significantly over our budget.
To make matters worse, I researched the typical nightly rate for this hotel, which averages between €130–€160 per night. We were charged the equivalent of **£228 per night**, which is entirely unjustifiable and well above market value.
I have contacted Stayforlong **four separate times** to raise this issue and request a review or explanation, and **I have not received a single response**. The complete lack of communication or accountability is incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
Stayforlong’s customer service is non-existent, and their pricing appears to be misleading at best. I will never book with them again and would urge others to avoid them as well.

After looking through hotels I found the one i wanted for a special occasion, I booked through stayforlong 10 months in advance and mentioned about the date of the special occasion to try to and plan something for it, they said they will send over the request and get back to me they never got back to me. Then 2 months before the stay I emailed the hotel directly, there was no booking under my name but they made a note of my name for when it comes through. Then 3 weeks before my planned arrival I get an email from stayforlong were sorry the hotel can’t accommodate you any more (they never book people in they do it last minute and the hotel had now sold out). Stayforlong offered a different hotel they could put me in but this was nowhere near the same standard of hotel so I rejected it and asked for one which on there own site was still available to book and a similar price to what I had booked, they got back to me saying they can’t move me there so I enquired why, they first tried to blame extra cost so when I showed them it was minimum and at the time I booked 10 months ago it would’ve been cheaper they then there wasn’t any space, I again asked the question of if there is no space why are you still selling the hotel on your site for them dates to which they replied “cancel your booking and rebook it on our site then”. So not only am I out of pocket for the none refundable transfers to the original hotel, have the hassle of changing my visa over which could incure a cost they want me to pay an extra £120 to them for a hotel still of a lower standard to what I had booked originally because of how they go about there business.

Dear Stayforlong Team,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding an ongoing issue with your platform. I am the owner of Ayasofya Hotel in Istanbul, and we have repeatedly received guests who have made reservations through your website, despite our hotel not being a member of your platform.
As a gesture of goodwill and to ensure the guests were not left stranded, we accommodated them at our hotel. However, despite having fulfilled these bookings, your platform has failed to transfer the payment for these stays to us.
We have made several attempts to resolve this issue by contacting your team, but every time we call, we are left waiting on the phone for hours without any resolution. This is causing significant financial and operational stress for our business.
It is unacceptable for your platform to collect money from guests while refusing to pay the hotels that provide the actual service. We kindly request immediate action on the following:
1. Prompt payment for the reservations made through Stayforlong and completed at our hotel.
2. An explanation for why our hotel is listed or used on your platform without our consent.
Should this issue remain unresolved, we will be compelled to take further steps, including reporting this matter to relevant authorities and sharing our experience publicly to warn other businesses.
We trust you will address this matter urgently. You can reach us at [your contact information] for further clarification or to confirm payment details.
Looking forward to your prompt response.

Our hotel closed due to hurricane in Florida. Sent them numerous emails which they do not respond to.
Rang them, they cut me off 3 times and could hear them laughing in the background.
They said it was non refundable, despite the hotel not being open!
I am have raised a complaint with the credit card company. Suggest everyone else does the same and seek to discredit them wherever you can to warn others not to use them.

Then I read reviews on the Internet, that this company takes money, and tourists on arrival – are left with no booking. They have to pay again,or they are left without a hotel. I immediately called the Labranda Resort directly and it turned out that my booking was not there. I called Stayforlong on 9 June to clarify. I asked if they were sure – not dealing with a middleman company that had gone bankrupt (the resort itself had warned me about this) .They replied and assured me, that this is not the case, and my stay in Labranda Alntur Resort was confirmed. I received an email on 10 June stating that my reservation was confirmed. I printed this email and had it with my voucher. On arrival in Turkey, I was there at 1 am and it turned out that the resort had never heard of me. I showed the confirmation from Stayforlong, that everything was paid, but the receptionist was adamant. They did not have a room for me because they had never received any booking from them. My worst fears were confirmed. The resort told us to sleep on the street because they were fully booked …It was the middle of the night and my whole family was there. My sister, my brother, my nephew, and my brother’s children, that is 7 people had rooms -but I, with a friend who booked with me – did not have one. We called the police … it was a terrible situation. Police didn,t help but the Resort found a room for the rest of the night. Charged us 200 euros in cash. In the morning I contacted Stayforlong by email and on the website. After a few hours, I received an email that they cancelled my reservation and refunded the money. I went to the hotel manager and he confirmed that he received a request about my booking on 9/07/24. This was the first date Stayforlong contacted the resort about my booking. Before they never had any reservations from them on my name. It is obvious to me, that that is their normal unscrupulous practice, I was the next victim of unprofessionalism in the company. My holiday was ruined because the hotel was fully booked. This trip was my birthday celebration. 9 members of my family arrived specially for me, but I was kicked out of the hotel. Yes, I received a refund but some 75£ missing!!! Do they charge me for the hideous fraud -they are famous for (all over the internet) ? I understand sometimes bankruptcy could happen…but they are doing the CRIME to so many customers- this must be not just a coincidence. I am so angry and disappointed because I did read about it -and called them for confirmation to be sure -not to be cheated. Finally trusted them because of my sister’s recommendation… But they did it to me as well !!! Shame on you!

Everything seems fine with Stayforlong until you need their customer service, then your entire vacation can be ruined. We booked a five-star hotel but got a four-star one. We contacted them immediately, and the response we received was that they were “working on the issue.” After a week, they offered us 5% of the total amount as compensation, which is a negligible amount. We asked to be moved to a five-star hotel, but they refused.
It’s better to book through a slightly more expensive website to avoid the risk of your vacation being ruined. Do not book with Stayforlong. If I can I had rated them to -10

Reservations made in mid-May.
Yesterday we received an email informing us that due to contractual problems, they could not guarantee our reservation and offered us another hotel, which we accepted.
This morning they sent us another email informing us that the proposed hotel has no availability and therefore they have no other options to offer us.
So with the usual apologies … they solved it like this!
We find ourselves close to leaving without a reservation, with the group split up, in August, with full hotels everywhere.
I described the facts. I leave it up to those who read to judge the seriousness of the site.

I am now going to contact the ombudsman and I am going to pursue this as both Stayforlong.com and the completely detestable refundable.me are disgusting. I would not recommend either of these terrible companies and I feel that stayforlong have stolen money from me in a sham insurance payment and they really do go a long way into perpetuating the stereotype of the thieving, dirty scumbag insurance company, who will create their own rules and misrepresentation by any means possible, in our case do not respond until it’s too late. Burn in hell stayforlong.com and refundable.me partners in crime.
Do not book with these companies as you will get burned, I am going to chase this.

I booked a hotel with them, after a week i noticed the price dropped by 250 pounds almost, when i went back they refused to compensate and said i should book again and loose my deposit.
After afew weeks hotel contacted me directly and told me the company used by Stayforlong has gone bankrupt and that all bookings were cancelled. I then contacted Stay for Long who told me to wait, i contacted them multiple times and they kept ignoring me in the end they said they cant do anything and i can have my money back. I ended up booking directly with the hotel at a big loss and paying a lot extra money. this company is NOT to be trusted!!! Dont destroy your holiday and use such a company

a property advertised as a 5-star hotel in Antalya.
Upon my arrival from Halifax, Canada, with my 5-month-old baby, I was informed by the receptionist that my reservation was not for the main building. Instead, it was for a separate building, a 5-minute walk away. Given the circumstances, I agreed to visit the alternative accommodation.
To my dismay, the alternative building was not up to the standards of a 5-star hotel, but rather resembled a 2-star motel. The room offered to us was in the basement, which was entirely unacceptable. The quality of the building was shocking and certainly not what I had paid almost $700 for.
Left with no other choice, I accepted their offer to upgrade to the main building for an additional fee of 60.00 euros. However, I find this situation to be highly unfair as it was not clear during the booking
process that I was reserving a room in a 2-star motel rather than a 5-star hotel.
Given these circumstances, I kindly requested a refund for the additional 60 euros I had to pay due to the misleading information provided during the
the booking process, however, after almost 30 days of back-and-forth emails, they denied my request.
I’m happy I have great support through the credit card I used for the booking. Lesson learned and I’ll never use this website ever and encourage other potential clients to stay away from this website.

Best part – came back and confronted him and he first pretends he doesn’t know us – then when I show him his receipt he goes what’s the issue it’s fine. No apology nothing – infact he had the audacity to square up to us as if to intimate us into submission. I’m glad you guys can affiliate yourself to people like this..well done. I hope this review reaches all families thinking to use you guys – your employes are disgusting.
