Like many others I sent a iPhone 14 like new in the original box with accessories only to be offered less than half the original price because of “deep scratches “
Unhappy I refused 3 offers and asked for my phone back. A phone was sent back but NOT my phone I can prove this because I made a note of the IEMI numbers. A poor quality phone was sent back in its place in a plain brow box. I have spoken to O2 who can if required send a copy of my agreement with the IMEI numbers on.
Meanwhile I have a phone that is almost worthless. I am pursuing this with ur and will take it as far as I can.

Please invest your property and time into a company that isn’t UR that are genuine and have morals and don’t rely on ripping people off. Please avoid.

Declined offer and was told no further offers would be made. Amazingly (!!) they made me another offer, closer in price to original. I accepted this, but the promised payment in 3-5 working days actually took 8 days after chasing up by email.
There are definitely better companies to sell your old phone to- who pay swiftly and don’t reduce their offer unnecessarily. Go elsewhere!

Communication is poor, agents only respond when they want an answer to their question.
Payment on time? You could consider this to be a yes, however, they quoted 3-5 working days. I accepted the revised offer on a Friday and the payment needed to be chased the following Friday to which the deposit was made into my bank without a response to the email I sent.
In summary, they over inflate offers to gain business, not a great experience at all.

Yesterday was a review on Trustpilot

“Order 900271970 sent in on Friday 31/01 didnt get checked until 03/02 got a revised offer on the 05/02 of a £200 knocked off difference apparently deep scratches and faulty camera which isn’t true at all so I declined received another offer same day but also declined that one too
and then I finally I received a 3rd offer on the 06/02 stating “ We hate devices slipping out of our grasp so our pricing manager has made one last attempt at purchasing your device, we hope you find this offer acceptable.”
I did accept this offer and then received an email stating payment has been sent also on that same day 06/02
I would say like some people that advisors were nice but after trying to call 17 times with no answer but just line ringing and ringing.
Still waiting for payment as of this review 13/02 still even though they offer QUICK payment and paying according to the website 1-2 day payment with some people suggesting they even got it same day of confirmation email, I know I’m still gonna have to keep chasing via email and phone call until they pay me wouldn’t expect anything less from these.
Lil angry but certainly more just really disappointed after having to take up my own time to chase a company that should be operating far more efficiently then this.

According to my tracker with Royal Mail it has been delivered but I have not heard anything from this company since.
They have my phone and no one answers the phone or gets back to emails!
Any advice who to go to?

I had taken a quote with them for another phone but will now not be selling to them. Will use another more reputable company instead for my other phone

I am in the process of researching who I can escalate this with as clearly they have stolen this phone.

“The screen has visible marks. It has deep scratches in more than one place. As a result we have amended our Valuation to £55.00 that reflects the cost to carry out the work on your old device so it can be given another life.”
This isn’t true. The phone is in excellent condition. So, using their online service, I rejected the offer and requested they return the phone. They then revised their offer to £75. I rejected it and requested the phone’s return again. Ever since, I’ve emailed twice and heard nothing back. I’ve tried calling them today: no answer.
I’m very worried now that UR:
a) has disappeared – taking the phone with them
b) will underhandedly try to circumvent my requests by, for example, saying they’ve returned the phone (when they haven’t) or – if they’re particularly underhand – gouge deep scratches in the screen, then return it to me (thus fitting with the false assessment they provided).
