Sold my old iPhone to UR….. after inspection was offered less than half originally quoted price for phone. Apparently there were significant scratches (there weren’t)
Declined offer and was told no further offers would be made. Amazingly (!!) they made me another offer, closer in price to original. I accepted this, but the promised payment in 3-5 working days actually took 8 days after chasing up by email.
There are definitely better companies to sell your old phone to- who pay swiftly and don’t reduce their offer unnecessarily. Go elsewhere!

    Sold my iPhone.
Same story of offering you a higher price so you choose them and then they send you a reduced offer once in possession of your handset. Their initial revised offer was almost a fourth off the originally quoted price. After haggling (why they advise they don’t do when sending the revised offer), I ended up with a more reasonable figure.

Communication is poor, agents only respond when they want an answer to their question.

Payment on time? You could consider this to be a yes, however, they quoted 3-5 working days. I accepted the revised offer on a Friday and the payment needed to be chased the following Friday to which the deposit was made into my bank without a response to the email I sent.

In summary, they over inflate offers to gain business, not a great experience at all.

    Do Not Recommend!!!
Hope this adds incentive to pay as Iv now uploaded reviews of the company to show people how poor UR are has a company, each day I haven’t received payment I will be making a new review on various other reviewing sites regarding the company and my experience.

Yesterday was a review on Trustpilot

    & today reviewuk

“Order 900271970 sent in on Friday 31/01 didnt get checked until 03/02 got a revised offer on the 05/02 of a £200 knocked off difference apparently deep scratches and faulty camera which isn’t true at all so I declined received another offer same day but also declined that one too

and then I finally I received a 3rd offer on the 06/02 stating “ We hate devices slipping out of our grasp so our pricing manager has made one last attempt at purchasing your device, we hope you find this offer acceptable.”

I did accept this offer and then received an email stating payment has been sent also on that same day 06/02

I would say like some people that advisors were nice but after trying to call 17 times with no answer but just line ringing and ringing.

Still waiting for payment as of this review 13/02 still even though they offer QUICK payment and paying according to the website 1-2 day payment with some people suggesting they even got it same day of confirmation email, I know I’m still gonna have to keep chasing via email and phone call until they pay me wouldn’t expect anything less from these.

Lil angry but certainly more just really disappointed after having to take up my own time to chase a company that should be operating far more efficiently then this.

Took my phone in december and not heard from them since
I sold my phone online in December and sent off in the packaging they provided.
According to my tracker with Royal Mail it has been delivered but I have not heard anything from this company since.
They have my phone and no one answers the phone or gets back to emails!
Any advice who to go to?

Poor service and hard to get hold of
Very poor service. Website states only takes 1-2 days to complete all needed actions. They received my device over 10 days ago and still not told me the results of the testing or sent payment from original agreed quote. Despite calling and emailing and being assured this would be sorted over the weekend as was awaiting a manager to review device nothing has been done.

I had taken a quote with them for another phone but will now not be selling to them. Will use another more reputable company instead for my other phone

My daughter sent an Apple Watch and iPhone 13 to trade in with this company. This is where things went downhill. The next thing we got was an email asking her to confirm her bank details yet they had not sent us an email either confirming or reviewing the offer they had initially given us online. We queried this to seek further clarification. We realised that they had offered way below what they had offered initially for this reason we requested for the return of both the phone and the Apple Watch. UR sent back only the watch. We sent a total of 3 emails pleading with them to return the phone. What they have done now is not to even bother replying any of the emails we have sent.

I am in the process of researching who I can escalate this with as clearly they have stolen this phone.

    Very concerning
I accessed a generous quote (£138) from UR on an old iphone. So I sent it to UR. They then emailed me saying:

“The screen has visible marks. It has deep scratches in more than one place. As a result we have amended our Valuation to £55.00 that reflects the cost to carry out the work on your old device so it can be given another life.”

This isn’t true. The phone is in excellent condition. So, using their online service, I rejected the offer and requested they return the phone. They then revised their offer to £75. I rejected it and requested the phone’s return again. Ever since, I’ve emailed twice and heard nothing back. I’ve tried calling them today: no answer.

I’m very worried now that UR:

    a) has disappeared – taking the phone with them
    b) will underhandedly try to circumvent my requests by, for example, saying they’ve returned the phone (when they haven’t) or – if they’re particularly underhand – gouge deep scratches in the screen, then return it to me (thus fitting with the false assessment they provided).

Appalling products & services - Do not buy from them!
Ordered 2 phones in December, ‘premium quality’. 1st arrived dirty, 2nd damaged. Couldn’t get answer on UR customer care line. Emailed photos of damage and returned both for refund, tracked and signed-for. UR claimed 2nd phone didn’t arrive, so sent them proof of delivery and signature from Post Office. After endless emails and long waits for responses, UR finally refunded 1st phone and only part-refunded 2nd. Demanded full refund for 2nd phone. UR said didn’t know why only part-refunded but still didn’t refund the balance. Been chasing full refund since. No responses to emails. Appalling quality products and services. Don’t buy from them!

The Samsung phone I purchased arrived after 12 days, quite a long time, it developed a fault after 21 days of use. Being a gift, it had been in my possession longer than it had been used, taking it over the 30 days, therefore a charge of nearly £40 was going to be deducted on the refund, £10 admin fee and the rest was a percentage depreciation of the £315 phone, so I opted for a replacement. What a nightmare, despite them knowing it was needed in hospital, as it was my very ill partner’s phone, it took 23 days to replace, with lots of bumbling incompetence and lies between. UR do not employ enough staff for their customer service. Approx 1 in 10 calls are answered, there is no answer phone, emails are largely replied to, but they do not read them and answer any questions, they just send out a generic reply. Both staff members seem to make it up as they go along. I was told a replacement phone had been dispatched and signed for at my office on 16 Dec, when it had not, the RM tracking reference she gave me, was for the original phone, signed for on 21 Oct, but I did not find that out until after spending considerable time looking for a non-existent delivery, Lying is second nature to the staff. A truly dreadful experience

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - UNABLE TO GET HOLD OF THE COMPANY AFTER INCORRECT VALUATION REDUCTION
Sold my iPhone 14 Pro Max to them, upon sending the phone and them preforming their checks, I received an adjusted valuation that was £95.00 lower than what I was offered on their website. The reasons they stated for the reduction were because the phone has “scratches on the screen and on the case in more than one location”.

However, on the website, during the application to sell my phone to them, this wasn’t stated anywhere. Instead, it clearly said that “light wear and tear acceptable – no cracks, scratches or chips visible from 30cm”. The phone I sent them had no scratches, no chips or cracks at all, let alone from 30cm.

I thought something like this may happen, so I actually took screen shots of the company website, where they state the requirements for a phone in a “good” condition, plus, I also took a video of the phone I sent them, on the day that the application to sell my phone was filled out and submitted. I sent both these over to UR and asked for someone to contact me to resolve the matter and heard nothing.

I also attempted to call their customer care team on the number they provided, the phone line rings for about 30 seconds, before it drops dead.

Just seems as if they intentionally put high prices on their website, so that customers send them their devices, before making up reasons as to why the value of the device is lower and then offering them low ball offers, with the hope the customer goes for it.

I have chased and chased UR for a response and still have heard nothing in return.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

    Scam
I would give no stars if possible. Initially said they would give me £154 for immaculate iPhone 11. Posted thoroughly wrapped in bubble wrap and box. They sent an email with revised offer of £85 saying face scratched. I declined and sent them the photos I had taken just before packing. They have now offered £105 which I have declined. SCAM

    AVOID
I had high hopes for UR after reading mostly positive reviews, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I decided to send in my iPhone 11, which they valued at £150, using their prepaid shipping box. Unfortunately, this package never made it to them.

Now, nearly three months later, I’m still left without answers. Customer service has been incredibly unhelpful, with them putting the blame on myself, even after I followed all their instructions. It’s incredibly frustrating to think I’m expected to accept the loss of my phone without any resolution.

Avoid this brand at all costs unless you want to risk losing your device and dealing with a lack of support. Very disappointed!

    Bunch of scammers
Sold to this company through moneysupermarket, I listed as broken, broken could mean completely knackered,
According to this scammer company the phone needs to be able turn and and no damage…..! Why have the option to sell a broken phone if you want it in good condition under broken. I will be reporting you to the money supermarket and try my best to get your company taken off there, false advertising

    Scam
These are just a scam – they offered me a good price for my iphone 14, so I sent it off – they did not get in touch – so over a week later and several calls from me, they offered me £100 – what a joke! they said their was scratches on it – luckly I took photo’s of the phone and told them this – they offered me £20 more. I refused and at that point they started to get rude on the phone. I told them to send it back and they agreed to do so. Three weeks later – still havent got my phone back! Avoid UR.co.uk at all cost

Sold it to them as under the impression it would be unsellable if returned.
