Terrapin Trading is a company from Scotland that imports fair trade products from Africa and sells them in Scotland. In 2003 the founder was backpacking in Southern Africa and did some voluntary work in Zimbabwe. There he saw the extreme poverty of the area and decided to do something about it. He bought 100 Tonga baskets and brought them back home to sell them. Later, in 2007, he decided that he wanted to help more countries and areas like this, and Terrapin Trading was founded. Terrapin Trading has a lot of different products available. You can find products for your home, but also clothes, music instruments, and other accessories. For all the products the company sells, a big part of the money is given back to the poor areas. Fairtrade is what the company wants for the future.
