Assembly coffee was started in 2014 by two founders driven to source and roast high-quality, speciality coffees for their customers. They sell ground, roasted coffee for both filter brewing and espresso. Their coffee is sourced from countries like Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Peru. Moreover, they supply coffee brewing tools like espresso machines and barista equipment. They also offer walk-in barista training in their Brixton, London coffee house. Assembly coffee has curated three subscription styles to deliver coffee and other exclusive treats to their customers, including brewing tutorials and handmade cup coasters. The coffee industry is notorious for exploiting farmers and utilising underage labour. However, Assembly coffee claims to engage in fair trade with the farming communities that supply their coffee beans. This means that they offer the farmers fair prices and decent working conditions. The company has collaborated with a variety of other successful brands like The Nomad, Page 8 Hotels, Rob Dunne and Skye Corewijn. Their collabs offer limited edition products and services that either give back to the community in some way, offer the customer top-notch, handmade products, or explore new coffee recipes.
