Originally, The Brook was a restaurant, cocktail bar and arts venue. Located on the border of Surrey and London, it served sharing plates, craft cocktails and desserts. When founder and professional cook, Thea Brook developed a dairy intolerance, she was forced to reevaluate her diet and eating habits. She sought ways to provide healthy dishes while replicating the flavours of regular cooking. The Brook introduced plant-based delicacies into the menu, and the responses were positive. When Brook became vegan in 2016, she decided the restaurant would too. The Brook delivers a variety of vegan food options to different regions in the UK.Using its award-winning menus, the plant-based kitchen makes dishes for home dining. The meals are delivered every weekend. Each order is for two, comprising seven individually-crafted plates. These dishes can be served as one big feast or eaten over the weekend. Customers can choose from Seoul Food Night, Sea-lover’s Special or Supper Club. The Brook also has a mid-week menu, where customers can build their own boxes. By subscribing to the delivery service, customers can decide which meals to get and how often. Gift vouchers are available, although not for the subscription service. The Brook also gives vegan recipes and tips for healthy plant-based eating.
