One of the best known platforms in the online dating world is Badoo, a portal launched in 2006 by Russian entrepreneur Andrei Andreyev and now used by over half a billion people worldwide. Badoo allows people to meet new people, build friendships and, why not, find their better half. Like most dating sites, it allows you to create a profile, upload photos and information, and scroll through the list of like-minded people. On the app’s main screen there are four different sections: Search, in which the geographically closest profiles are listed; Dating, in which you can scroll through profiles selected by the algorithm based on common interests and other affinities (work, hobbies, physical characteristics, etc.); Messages, which is the box in which messages are delivered; and Profile. Badoo also offers a paid ‘Premium’ version, which allows you to increase your visibility on the platform, so you have more chances to meet and get to know like-minded people. Fortunately for those who have no intention of paying to use the service, the chat is completely free and can be used to send messages to anyone who piques someone’s curiosity.

Number of reviews: 1 Rating:8 Badoo is fun, but not very busy yet! I signed up on Badoo last week and experience it as fun, but I don’t think there are a huge number of people on the platform yet. Maybe the website is not very old yet?
