Bug Bakes

Bug Bakes is the UK’s first dog treat company that uses sustainable insect protein. The company was born due to its founder and CEO, Ross Lamond, learning that livestock farming was harming the earth after reading about insect protein while studying at The University of Glasgow. The firm aims to minimise the environmental impact of pet ownership by developing products that are good for both dogs and the planet. Bug Bakes recipes are developed to offer top quality food and are designed by expert nutritionists. The recipes are complete nutritionally and adhere to strict guidelines such as FEDIAF. They also get approved by vets and primarily utilise UK’s natively grown ingredients to reduce airmails. Some of the ingredients of Bug Bakes include insect proteins, carrots, linseed, sunflower oil, apples, seaweed and blueberries. The company has Bug Bakes Taster Pack to ensure the client’s dog loves the products before they start purchasing. It ships freely in the UK for 2 X 100g packs of food, including grain-free and regular recipes. Currently, the company accepts deliveries for Mainland UK and orders of 4 or more bags benefit from free shipping. Besides, all Bug Bakes parcels are tracked and delivered by DPD.
